Acupuncture Assessment – Chinese Medicine
Tongue and pulse diagnosis is performed by a Licensed Acupuncturist and Diplomate in Oriental Medicine. Chinese Medicine can identify imbalances in the body to determine appropriate treatment and lifestyle enhancements by feeling, or “reading” the pulse and assessing the texture and color of the tongue. Chair Massage
Massage therapists provide seated chair massage to bring a sense of relaxation and nourishment to employees. On-site chair massage may be scheduled as part of a wellness program or fair or as either an employer sponsored or employee subsidized option before, during or after business hours. Click here to learn more about the benefits of massage.
($75 / hour / therapist – one therapist can accommodate 5-8 people per hour)
Nervous System Screening
Doctors of Chiropractic and Chiropractic Assistants perform nervous system scans to educate about the relationship between the nervous system and the spine. A nervous system scan, or spinal scan, measures muscle tension around the spine using surface EMG. Measuring muscle tension indirectly tells us how well the nerves coming from the spine are communicating with the body. This is an important screening because the nervous system controls and coordinates all functions of the body. The scan is performed using electrodes on the surface of the neck. The scan is only a measurement of electrical current output, no sensation will be felt and nothing will be absorbed in the skin. Screening results are reviewed with participants. Click here to learn more about chiropractic and the nervous system.
($125 / hour / scan – two scans available – one scan can accommodate 15 people per hour)
BIA (Bio Impedance Analysis)
BIA is a method of assessing “body composition” (the measurement of body fat in relation to lean body mass), cell health, from cell membrane health to longevity of the cells, hydration levels and much more. ($75 / hour to accommodate 7-10 people per hour)
Health Fair Coordination
Your Wellness Connection affiliates with community health and wellness professionals to bring employer sponsored health fairs to employees to support employer initiatives and help reduce employer health costs. Over 35 interactive health screenings and specialties are available to choose from. Some screenings may include an additional small fee for supplies and equipment use, which may be employer funded or passed along to employee. Some health providers may not provide a screening, but offer information and handouts on their area of specialty.
We request a three-month notice prior to the event date to allow sufficient time to notify health providers, coordinate logistics, build employee awareness, and general planning. We strive to recruit screenings / services based on employer request, but do not guarantee every request due to health provider availability. ($1,500.00)
Wellness Presentations ($250-500 / hour)
