Passion and Vision

Your Wellness Connection, P.A. began as Robin Chiropractic and Acupuncture Center in 1992 as a two person office led by Dr Michelle Robin. A chiropractor trained in acupuncture, Dr. Robin had a dream to create a unique approach to health care suitable for people of any age. 
 
Dr. Robin’s passion began with chiropractic. At the age of 15 she was injured playing sports and received chiropractic care from Dr. John Lakin. She recovered quickly from the injury and to her amazement also felt relief from chronic sinusitis and sore throats. Dr. Lakin’s holistic approach to health using acupuncture and energy medicine relieved her of intense menstrual cramps. 
 
Dr. Lakin and his wife Carol taught her that health was more than the body’s physical aspects. They gave her direction on her spiritual path, teaching her she had unlimited potential to become anything she dreamed of being. She began to understand the human body’s profound capacity for healing when given the proper care. 
 
Dr. Michelle Robin worked along side Richard Yennie, Chiropractor and Diplomate in Acupuncture, while in chiropractic school. Acclaimed as bringing acupuncture to the United States, Dr. Yennie played a pivotal role in Dr. Robin’s quest to transform people’s lives through healing. Dr. Yennie introduced her to four aspects of healing based on eastern philosophy: mechanical, chemical, energetic and psychological / spiritual. As Dr. Robin witnessed personal health transformations through this inclusive healing system she was undoubtedly led to adopt this underutilized model.

Dr. Michelle Robin attributes the Lakins’ mentorship,
Dr. Richard Yennie’s wisdom and the leadership of other healing teachers to have positively influenced her life’s mission – to heal, love, and educate herself and others with integrity, humor and spirit.
 
In 2001 Robin Chiropractic & Acupuncture Center…your Wellness Connection completed a state-of-the-art facility to integrate natural healing approaches supported by practitioners and staff under one roof and to facilitate interaction with a network of community wellness partners. In 2005 we dropped Robin Chiropractic and Acupuncture Center from our name, leaving Your Wellness Connection to reflect our intention to serve each client - to connect them to their wellness.
