Book

Wellness on a Shoestring: Seven Habits for a Healthy Life shares simple actions in seven categories that will fundamentally improve the reader’s wellbeing, with little or no financial cost. Each chapter challenges the reader with questions to consider allowing for a quick self-assessment of the topic. The reader explores the mind-body-spirit impacts of the subject at hand learning not just the what but also the why and the how to incorporate the suggestions put forth into his or her life. Included are stories of real clients that have applied the ideas of the chapter demonstrating the impact they can have on one’s wellbeing. The reader is given practical actions to apply the chapter’s lessons as well as space to write notes, affirmations, or intentions.

Journal

The Wellness on a Shoestring Journal supports the reader’s journey by creating a space for self-assessment, reflection, goals and experiences to be captured. Writing down intentions, reflections, and progress in a journal is a proven method of reinforcement for personal change.

Program

The Wellness on a Shoestring Program enhances the reader’s journey through facilitated group sessions that explore each chapter more thoroughly. Each week participants expand their knowledge of each subject, get their questions answered, share and discuss their experiences as they add new habits into their lives, and practice new habit activities. An important part of the experience is the group setting with small group discussion and accountability partners/teams. Participants read the book and utilize a workbook throughout the program. Participants complete health assessment questionnaires and body measurements at the beginning, middle, and end of the program to track progress. The program is facilitated onsite at your company location. There are opportunities for facilitator training. There are 8 sessions in the program.
